Training DVD's from Gallowglass Academy
I am pleased to announced that Gallowglass Academy has just produced our first training DVD's.
We have a DVD on the Bowie knife and one on Bartitsu.
The Bowie knife is the most (in) famous American fighting knife. Named for James Bowie who survived the famous Sandbar fight in 1827 and then want on to die at the Alamo during the Texas Revolution. The Bowie knife was carried by soldiers, traders and frontiersmen all during the 19th century and beyond.
The DVD provides close to 60 minutes of training on how I feel this big knife should be used.
Bartitsu is an eclectic martial art developed by Edward Barton-Wright in England at the end of the 19th century. It combines Japanese jujutsu, English pugilism, the Vigny cane system and French savate.
Our DVD has almost 90 minutes of training in many aspects of Bartitsu.
We are working on getting clips from the DVD's up on our website.
